A generic version of Orthene, this insecticide works on turf, ornamental and tree insect pests. It is also highly effective on ants, imported fire ants, crickets, cockroaches, earwigs, firebrats, pantry pest, wasp and sowbugs. Acephate 97 UP controls over 125 listed pests, including difficult-to-eradicate mealy bugs populating plants’ foliage as well as root systems. Acephate 97 UP is a water soluble, systemic insecticide that is absorbed by plant roots and foliage, providing systemic control of feeding insects. Insects are controlled through ingestion with this product.
